Medical Peel & I2PL Back

The Medical Peel + I2PL Back Treatment is best for those with mild to moderate active acne on their back, and/or normal to oily skin. It is not suitable for photosensitive individuals, those with dark complexions, and pregnant/breastfeeding women.

With careful assessment and preparation, a very serious allergic reaction to the Medical Peel + I2PL Back Treatment is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.

This is not a complete list of possible side effects. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor immediately.

You can enjoy it once every 3 to 4 weeks.

You will be required to share your medical history with the consulting professional, especially those concerning your skin. These include the use of medications like isotretinoin, vitamin A (retinol) creams, or products containing acids such as AHAs and BHAs. You will be required to stop using these for at least 3 days before treatment.

Post-treatment instructions include:

Cleanse your skin gently and apply any creams provided.
Do not pick at scabs, if any.
Avoid/limit sun exposure.
Always wear sunscreen.
Other instructions provided by a professional.

Over-the-counter chemical peels and acids are only available in lower concentrations (e.g., up to 10 per cent with glycolic acid). They are also generally only able to tackle very mild skin conditions such as mild acne, or as a gentle home-based exfoliation.

Professional/medical chemical peels are available in relatively higher concentrations (e.g., up to 30 or even 70 per cent!), and are administered by trained professionals such as estheticians/cosmeticians, nurses, or doctors.

These peels tackle a wider spectrum of skin concerns including mild to moderate acne, unwanted pigmentation, light acne scars, fine lines, and wrinkles.
