The Derma Roller Facial gently rolls sterile fine needles across the treatment area to create micro-wounds – stimulating collagen and elastin production that help with fine lines, wrinkles and mild acne scars.

This facial with many names is a professional skincare mainstay and can be used for a wide variety of skin benefits such as whitening, anti-ageing, refinement of pore size and wrinkles, evening of skin tone, firming of loose skin and many more.

Double Cleansing
After a welcome head massage, the treatment starts with a double cleanse to free the skin of the day’s build up.

Numbing
Depending on the length of the microneedle used (0.25mm to 2.0mm), your skin may be numbed with a topical anaesthetic.

Derma rolling
This step is carried out by highly trained professionals in a controlled, hygienic manner. Each Derma Roller used is brand new and sterile, and immediately disposed after treatment.

Topical Actives
SkinLab offers a wide range of nutrient-dense topicals such as stem cells, vitamin C, etc., that penetrate easily via the microchannels created by the derma roller.

How long is the treatment?

SkinLab’s Derma Roller Facial lasts 90mins.

Is there any downtime? Are there any side effects?

There is a chance your skin may peel. This will depend whether you’re new to Derma Rollers and the length of the microneedle of the derma roller used.

What is the treatment suitability?

SkinLab’s Derma Roller Facial is ideal for those looking for an effective way to:

Minimise pore size
Improve shallow acne scarring
Refine fine lines and wrinkles

Whiten and/or even out skin tone

It is unsuitable for individuals:

who have medical conditions affecting the skin
who have an infection, tumour, or wound that has not fully healed in the treatment area
who is prone to developing keloids or hypertrophic scarring
who has blood or wound-healing disorders
who is HIV positive or has other systemic disorders
who is diabetic
who is hypersensitive

How often should I do the treatment?

You can enjoy the Derma Roller Facial once every 4 weeks.

Are there other areas this treatment can be used on?

Are there any pre- or post-treatment instructions?

Follow proper homecare advice customised by our therapists. As a general rule of thumb, we always recommend adequate sun protection.

What is the difference between a home-based derma roller and SkinLab's Derma Roller Facial?

Derma roller home kits can only product up to a degree of light exfoliation of dead skin. This mild microdermabrasion is simply not at the same level of dermarolling and penetration when done by professionals like us.

And while you can learn the techniques of dermarolling online, it’s difficult to gauge the actual touch, feel, and appropriate amount of pressure to apply with the derma roller and at which areas for your safety and the best results.

Plus, at SkinLab The Medical Spa, only brand new sterile derma rollers are used for each Derma Roller Facial session. These used derma rollers are disposed off after each treatment.

This is done for hygiene reasons; to prevent cross contamination between customers, and hence reducing the risk of infection, especially with the open wounds created by dermarolling.

Appointment Instructions

First trials are only for first-time customers of SkinLab The Medical Spa.
Existing customers who have not visited for the past 12 months are excluded (not eligible).
A la carte (full priced) sessions are valid for all customers.
Limit one (1) first-trial deal per person per year, regardless of treatment, unless otherwise stated.
Valid for male and female customers age 18 and above only.
Valid for Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, EP, SP, DP, and WP holders only.
Valid mobile number is required for registration and identification.
Prices are inclusive of GST.

Trial customers are required to arrive 15-mins prior to appointment times for registration.
Please provide full name(s) plus preferred days and times.
Our peak periods are weekday evenings and full days on weekends and public holidays.
